Soap block

Maybe you never thought about the many ways you can cleanse your body with soap? Do you know how a soap bar works and what types of soap for men there are? Maybe after reading you will switch to a different type of soap or come to the conclusion that your soap is not that bad.

How does a soap block work?

In a soap block or soap in the form of a shower gel contains soap molecules, Sodium Hydroxide. When the bar of soap or shower gel comes into contact with water, you get lye and the soap molecules create a connection between fat and water. Water and grease normally repel each other. This connection makes it possible to loosen dirt and grease, bind it to the soap molecules and rinse it away with the water. This process of degreasing the skin works best with warm water.

What types of soap are there?

Soap for men can be divided into two types, namely hard soap and liquid soap. Both types can consist of synthetic substances in addition to natural ingredients.

Hard soap, soap bars

You can buy hard soaps in many forms, packaged and unpackaged and, very conveniently, on a string ( soap on a rope ) and even in the form of flakes.

The best for your skin and the most environmentally friendly are naturally natural or organic hard soaps, which only consist of natural ingredients and oils. You will find a huge range of soap in our webshop.

Hard soap often also looks very attractive. It is therefore not surprising that hard soap is making a comeback. The beauty of hard soaps is that they can be kept indefinitely if they are kept dry. The older a hard soap is, the higher the concentration of active substances. So calmly stock up.

Liquid soap (shower gel)

Liquid soap consists mainly of water. Unfortunately, the majority of the liquid soaps offered are synthetic. Together with the plastic packaging, this is a double burden on the environment. Fortunately, many natural liquid soaps are also offered at The Alpha Men. Good shower gel for men can be found here.

Men's fragrances

Soap for men obviously has very different scents than soap for women. Tough, fresh scents such as those of sandalwood, citrus or musk. With an unscented soap you are always good anyway. After washing you can use an eau de parfum or aftershave from your favorite brand.
