Started more than 80 years ago by an innovative entrepreneur, this iconic brand continues to lead the world of high-quality brushes today.
Today, Denman has grown into a very large company that sells its brushes in more than 60 countries around the world and offers brushes for all hair types and lengths. Denman brushes and combs can be found in many bathrooms and thousands of hairdressers because of their good quality and performance. Denman brushes are also used today by hair artists such as Mark Woolley and Paul Stafford and many more who use the Denman brush to create amazing hairstyles.
The innovative nylon brush
Denman became a highly valued family business in the hairdressing industry when young entrepreneur John Denman Dean returned from a trip to New York with nylon, a revolutionary product.
When he came back John thought of using the nylon to make brushes, this was in 1938 and in the 1950's the fame of this innovative new brush started to grow. However, it was the hairdressing revolution of hairdresser Vidal Sassoon in the 1960s that really put Denman on the map with hairdressers. The Denman D3 Original Styler was perfect for creating the bob hairstyle that Vidal Sassoon relaunched at the time.
Is a Denman brush right for me?
For every type of haircut, but especially for curls, there is a Denman brush that fits. We will list the advantages of this Denman brush:
- Painless detangling of your hair
- No damaged hair from combing
- Less frizzy hair
- Better (and more) curl definition
- Feels good in the hand
- Easy to clean
The brush has a round brush head and will therefore improve your curl definition. The rounded pins in the brush ensure that your hair cannot get caught and thus prevents damaged hair. The rounded pins also ensure that you can comb your hair painlessly.
The brush consists of separate parts and that is why you can clean your brush at any time without any problem. Furthermore, the Denman is made of nylon pins and antistatic rubber. This makes fluffy hair a thing of the past. And last but not least: the rubber handle provides comfort and grip so that the brush fits comfortably in your hand.
