These popular razor blades are made of durable, high-quality steel and are nickel-free. Due to its forgiving character and its platinum coating, this razor blade offers a very close and comfortable shave. Gillette Platinum razor blades have a double edge blade with a sharpness of 4 out of 5 and are suitable for both an open comb and a closed comb safety razor . You can also break the blade in half to create two single edge razor blades for your shavette. Depending on the coarseness of your beard, they are good for several shaves.
The classic blue and white packaging contains 5 stainless steel double edge razor blades in a small cardboard box, with each blade individually wrapped in wax paper. Also available in discount pack of 50 pieces.

Safety Razor with Butterfly Clasp:
- Turn the wheel at the bottom of your safety razor. The shaving head now opens at the top and looks like wings of a butterfly.
- Carefully remove the razor from the packaging and hold it by the (blunt) ends.
- Now place the razor blade in the opening of the shaving head.
- You can then close the shaving head again with the wheel at the bottom of your safety razor.
Safety Razor without butterfly closure:
- Unscrew the top plate by turning the wheel at the bottom of your handle. Some safety razors do not have a wheel, so you have to unscrew the entire handle.
- Once you have removed the top plate, carefully remove the razor blade from the packaging and hold it by the (blunt) ends.
- Place the blade on the top plate and gently press the blade and top plate together,
- You can then screw the whole thing back to the handle.
Shavette with single edge blade:
- Take your razor blade and leave the paraffin paper on it. Now carefully break the razor blade in half. Now you have 2 separate single edge blades.
- Open the holder at the end of the shavette.
- Slide the 2 metal parts apart by lifting them slightly and then sliding them in opposite directions.
- Place half a double edge blade against the 2 pins of the lower metal part.
- Slide the 2nd metal part back to closed position and make sure it is aligned with the 2 pins.
- Slide the holder back to hold it all together.
