Shaving belt - Double sided - Green
This double -sided tensioning belt with Herold or Solingen handle is suitable for switching on and sharpening stainless steel open razors.
This tension strap is made of theory and has a handle. The wealth leather is made of young cattle, is completely waterproof and offers optimum firmness. The handle helps improve grip while polishing the blades for comfortable use.
The green, leather side is meant to turn on and sharpen the knife. Use the Spanriem Pasta-Green to maintain the Spanriem. The cream -colored side is used to polish the knife.

sharpen:
1. Tighten the belt to the desired tension. So tight that the leather hardly bends under normal pressure.
2. Sharpening is done on the colored side of the tension belt.
3. Take the knife and place it with the back to the front.
4. Run the knife 10 times over the colored side from top to bottom.
5. Tilt the blade and bring it back towards you over the belt.
6. This way you have turned on both sides of the knife once.
The Paste is used to maintain the tension belt. This does not need to be reapplied with every use. As long as the knife makes a grinding sound on the belt, there is still enough paste on it. Let the Paste dry for a while before using the Tension Belt.
Polishing:
1. Start by 'aiming' the blade of the razor. You do this by holding the knife with the back facing forward.
2. Run the knife 15 times over the canvas side from top to bottom.
3. Then turn the shaving brake to the leather sides.
4. In the same way, run the blade over the leather belt to polish the blade. Do this about 20 times.
5. The blade is now ready to shave.
